As much as I enjoy Craig Johnson's "Longmire" books (and I've read them all), this one is just a little bit too much tongue-in-cheek. The plot was good, even though it was obvious from the get-go who the villain was, but in "An Obvious Fact" Johnson's tongue has just about bored a hole through his cheek. I'd hate to see him follow the path of James Doss who wrote the Charlie Moon mysteries. Doss's first books were good reads but somewhere along the way he got off track with the humor of it all, and the series went downhill. His last books were not his best work. Johnson is a good writer but considering the discoveries, etc. in this story, his approach is just a little too light-hearted. His characters deserve more from their author.
Last used a bottle in dec 2013, this bottle in sept 2014, same results both times. went from using 1 gallon of water every 40 miles to now using 8 oz of water every approx 150 -175 miles. Doesnt last forever, but 20 bucks every 6-7 moths vs replacing a head gasket on a car with 200,000+ miles is sure worth it. I put 1/2 bottle in, fill with water, it immediately helps alot. After a week, put the other 1/2 in and then check (not always add) water about once a week instead of adding a gallon of water every day. 2001 Nissan Altima 2.4 4cyl automatic, using water mostly through exhaust. No problems with clogging heater core on this car, but thats why i put in 1/2, instead of whole bottle at once. I have always added to radiator, let idle 5-10 min, then drive gently at first for 5-10 miles.
I started the reading the first story, and I stopped about 2 minutes in. It was written in verse, but the meter was terribly off. It nearly killed me. Plus, the story was boring, and it used the same pictures over and over.
We use this usually beyond the date as it would be a waste otherwise and seems to perform well. But I just checked on the day of this salve and Tuesday, 9/13 and the expiration date is 3/17? Only good for 6 months??
LOVE this stroller! My three year old loves it too! I'm excited about the ease of use, the huge sun canopy, and the sleek design. I'm not crazy about the tiny drink holder but there are two pockets in the stroller for kids and a big storage basket for water bottles so it's a small sacrifice. Would buy it again and recommend to a friend in a heartbeat!
